Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to:

  • calculate material and energy balances for typical unit operations in chemical engineering (absorption, mechanical engineering, membrane technology, mixing, chemical reaction engineering, distillation and drying);
  • better understand and apply balancing in chemical engineering as a fundamental requisite for the proper design of unit operations;
