Aim of course

Aim of the laboratory exercise is the deepening of the knowledge that is presented in the lecture Fluidized Bed Technology by practical laboratory work. Laboratory scale test rigs are used to present and to determine important features of fluidized beds by the students .

Subject of course

The following contents are treated or demomstrated(examples):

Mean surface/volume particle diameter, porosity, Geldart Classification,minimum fluidization velocity, terminal velocity, gas distributor, bubbling fluidized beds, solids mixing, heat transfer, circulating and multi stage fluidized beds.
