Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand an integrated Pilot plant in ist Automation and Control strategy as well as to Display the Basic principles in block flow diagrams and sequence diagrams.

Subject of course

Production of a recombinant protein in laboratory and pilot scale, modeling of the process.

- Fermentation of a recombinant protein
- Basis experiments will be performed in small scale, based on these experimental data and modelling scale-up experiments will be performed

The exercise takes place in the newly installed pilot plant at the University of Applied Life Sciences Muthgasse 19.

Practial work in the pilot plant and mirroring of the plant in the process automation system

The participation to the introductional meeting is mandatory:10.01.2019  BH EG 10:00-11:00.

Each group is about 1 week in the lab.

The execution of the exersize is scheduled for 13.1. - 17.1.2020.
