1) Comprehension of the physiological basic principles of recombinant protein production: Expression of an intracellular therapeutic or diagnostic protein / enzyme in E. coli
2) Complete bacterial process from seed to bioreactor production, over product isolation to product purification in a 60 - 250 L scale.
- Get introduced in the single unit operations, respective to hardware, instrumentation and automation
- Understand der support function and their operations: media buffer preparation, CIP, SIP and clean utilities
- Understand closed integrated processing and open handling operations
3) Process Automation: transition conditions, conditions to start of a unit operation, recipes, and basic function, Process management system
The participation to the introductional meeting is mandatory
Each group is about 2 weeks in the lab.
The execution of the exersize is scheduled for June.
