Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand the challenges of urban mining and to contribute from this knowledge to find solutions. Examples of such solutions are presented and discussed.

Subject of course

Analyses of the material flows, resources and technologies, examples of urban mining are presented and discussed using a holistic point of view.

The definition of Urban Mining is presented and the corresponding concepts are discussed. Urban resources - where are they, where are those generated, how can those be detected and how can they be used now and in future.

What are the future concepts by considering critical raw materials and energy efficiency.
