Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to perform an evaluation of small incineration plants by combustion experiments using modern analysis devices, as well as basic characterization and analysis of solid and liquid fuels. In addition the concept of thermochemical energy storage will be understood.

Subject of course

Evaluation of small combustion plant according to determination of energy efficiency and the behavior of emissions by means of combustion experiments and the application of modern analytical facilities. Basic characterization and analysis of solid, liquid and gaseous fuels. A thermochemical energy storage system with solid energy carriers will be tested.
