Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to perform an evaluation of small incineration plants by combustion experiments using modern analysis devices, as well as basic charactrization and analysis of solid and fluid fuels

Subject of course

Evaluation of small combustion plant according to determination of energy efficiency and the behavior of emissions by means of combustion experiments and the application of modern analytical facilities. Basic characterization and analysis of solid, liquid and gaseous fuels. Experiments to determine calorific value and ignition behavior of gas burners with the application of modern laser technology. Determination of kinetic data in a modern laboratory scaled unit (FRU Formation Rate Unit)
