Aim of course

Understanding of the chemical and physical origin of nanoscale phenomena, preparation and modification of nanostructures

Subject of course

Physical origin of nano-effects: quantum and surface effects Elektrical, magnetic and optical properties of nanomaterials Synthesis, structures and chemicla/physical modification of nanotubes, ultra-thin films, mesoporous materials, quantum dots, nanocomposites, etc. Influence of surface groups on the properties of nanomaterials Photolithographic methods for nanostructuring Phase-separated polymers Self-assembly by chemical interactions (surface-functionalization, self-assembled monolayers, Langmuir-Blodgett techniques etc.)

In Summer Semester 2019  the lecture is blocked in the context of ATHENS  -  from Monday 18.03.2019 to Friday, 22.03.2019.
