After successful completion of the course, students are able to design and to pursue scientific work independently. They will be able to develop their own results and to bring it into perspective with the state of science. Moreover, they will be able to critically evaluate scientific papers (their own work as well as that of others) and they will be able to identify the relevant aspects of scientific work (foreign as well as their own) .
