After successful completion of the course, students are able to apply all basic methods of multivariate statistics and to interpret the results correctly. The practical approach of the course leads to an expertise which enables the students to work on their own problems.

Hands-on application of statistical tests and regression methods, theory and application of multivariate statistics: multiple linear regression, principal component analysis, cluster analysis, classification methods

Theoretical lecture in combination with practical exercises.

Introduction to Biostatistics (LVA 164.343) is required, some of the exercises as based on the contents of this course.
