Functional and advanced materials: The lecture covers applications of solids for selected phenomena / materials. The materials science and practical issues are important topics for the understanding of the preparative chemistry and the structure for the application of materials is treated. A number of current topics in solid state chemistry research is treated to introduce students to the recent highlights in the field of modern applied solid state chemistry, an emerging subfield of chemistry.
Focuses on compounds with technologically relevant magnetic, electrical, ferritic, optical and ionic (transport) properties:
* Electronic and ionic transport properties
* Polarization (electric, magnetic) and dielectrics, pyro-, piezo-, ferroelectrics
* Optical Properties
* Catalytic Properties
* Technically relevant and selected construction materials and technical materials
*Composites and (partial-) amorphous materials
Die Vorlesung wird von Prof. F. Kubel geblockt im SS 2019 abgehalten. Die Terminabsprache mit interessierten Studierenden findet am Mittwoch 3.4.2019 um 14 Uhr in BB 02 K25 statt.
