The digital exam can be taken in the computer room on PCs equipped with the respective software and a tablet for schemes. Space is limted. Do not forget to take a calculator with you. Handys are forbidden.
- Exam in DL (Distance Learning):
You do not take the exam at TU Wien, but at a place that is convenient for you. You have to install the Safe Exam Browser on your PC/Laptop (information will be sent to you via email shortly) and a camera (e.g. mobile phone) must be set up in such a way that we can see your entire work area. You log into Zoom with your mobile phone, use this as a means of communication with the exam supervisor and then set it up appropriately. The link will be announced promptly for verification.
You are allowed to have specific exam sheets (instructions will be handed out) and a calculator on your desk.
A written examination on the lecture content. The exam lasts 120 minutes and consists of 10 tasks.
These tasks are made up as follows:
- 7 questions on the topic of high-resolution imaging techniques (6x 1 point, 1x 6 points)
- 17 questions on mass spectrometry (10x 1 point, 2x 4 points, 2x 3 points, 3x 2 points)
- 3 questions on the topic of nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (3x 6 points)
A total of 60 points are awarded for the examination; more than 53 points correspond to "Very good", more than 45 points to "Good", more than 38 points to "Satisfactory", more than 30 points to "Sufficient" and less than 30 points to "Not sufficient", which means that the examination must be repeated.
The exams take place on Fridays (on the announced days) from 15:00 to 17:00 in a computer-assisted room. Details can be found in the exam dates. The computer on site and a tablet, which will be provided, will be used. Only a simple calculator is required.

Online exam via iXam system with Safe Exam Browser and Zoom for communication (video + voice)
Exam questions have been adapted to the digital system and split up to allow better assessment. Score distribution between 1 and 6 points depending on the number of questions:

- 17 questions on mass spectrometry
