Quantitative analyses and statistical data evaluation of different samples using wet chemical analysis principles: Gravimetry: quantitative analysis of Nickel and Iron by precipitation analysis Volumetric analyses: Acid/base titration with end point detection by pH glass electrode, Oxidimetry: quantitative analysis of chromate, complexometric titration: quantitative analysis of Ca and Mg Flame-Emission-Spectroscopy: quantitative analysis of alkaline ions in mineral water UV-VIS Spectroscopy: quantitative Protein-Analysis
The laboratory courses will be held in the winter semester 2018 in two runs with a maximum of 60 participants per course. On the last friday before the start of the practical work, the inventory of the laboratory place has to be taken over, and introductory course instructions are given during which the attendence is compulsory.
1st Course: Introduction: Friday, 12.10.2018, 12 to 18 pm Vortmann lecture room (Participation compulsory!) The working time for the laboratory is 12:30 - 17:30 during Tuesday, 16.10. - Thursday, 08.11.2018 in the students' laboratory 5th floor. Return of the laboratory place on Friday 09.11 or Tuesday 13.11.2018
2nd Course: Introduction: Friday, 16.11.2018, 12 to 18 pm Vortmann lecture room (Participation compulsory!) The working time for the laboratory is 12:30 - 17:30 during Tuesday, 20.11. - Friday, 07.12.2018 in the students' laboratory 5th floor. Return of the laboratory place on Tuesday 11.12 or Wednesday 12.12.2018
Für die Anmeldung zur Laborübung ist bis spätestens 31.08.2018 eine persönliche e-mail an Frau Sarah Maschler (sarah.maschler@tuwien.ac.at), Mitarbeiterin im Sekretariat des Instituts für Chemische Technologien und Analytik zu senden.
Erforderliche Angaben: Vorname, Familienname, Matrikelnummer, Studienkennzahl, Datum und Note der Prüfung aus Analytischer Chemie I (LVA 164.053), Datum der positiven Absolvierung der LVA 104.084 (Mathematik für Technische Chemie I) sowie der bevorzugte Kurstermin.
Falls es aufgrund beschränkter Ressourcen notwendig ist, eine Reihung der angemeldeten Studierenden mit erfüllter Eingangsvoraussetzung vorzunehmen, dann wird als erstes Reihungskriterium die positive Absolvierung der LVA 104.084 "Mathematik für Technische Chemie I" verwendet (im Sinne von "Hohe Notwendigkeit der Teilnahme zur Erfüllung des Curriculums" im Studienplan). Die weiteren Reihungskriterien werden in der im Studienplan angegebenen Reihenfolge (1) - (3) angewendet. Zweites Reihungskriterium ist somit das Datum der Erfüllung der im Studienplan vorgesehenen Eingangsvoraussetzung (Prüfung aus Analytischer Chemie I).
