After successful completion of the course, students are able to carry out research-related activities under supervision. This includes putting the assigned tasks in the context of the state of the art, as well as in the overarching research topic, from which the specific task is motivated. Ideally, initial experience can also be gained in carrying out independent laboratory experiments and in data analysis.
