Aim of course

Understanding the physico-chemical principles in ionic materials, metals and metallic hard phases and the processes on their surface.

Subject of course

phase, phase diagram, phase rule, thermodynamic principles, mixtures, important phase diagrams and alloys systems, learning ability to apply the acquired knowledge for materials in use, and their processing, thermodynamics of ionic and electronic defects, defect chemical reactions kinetics in crystalline solids: mass and charge transport, diffusion, permeation, electric current, kinetics of solid-state reactions, surface reactions
