Examination modalities

Requirement: two (minimum) presentations over the course of the PhD thesis.
Partial achievement 1 - Introductory Talk (within 1st year of PhD project): Introduction to the overall topic and research question of the PhD thesis, background and objectives of the project, presentation of the current scientific state-of-the-art, presentation of first results
Partial achievement 2 - Focus Talk (during last 6 months before defense of the PhD thesis): Short overview of motivation and research questions, focus on results, outcomes and conclusions
Length of presentations: ~ 25-30 minutes, the talks will be given in English.
The level of attendance required for positive completion of the course: presence at a minimum of 12 seminars.
