After successful completion of the course, students are able to explain basic subjects like development of technologies, technological impact assessment, ethics in science, gender mainstreaming and diversity management. Students can describe their principles and apply them to examples in chemistry and chemical engineering.

The lecture is very interactive, students are grouped in three persons to work in between the presentations together answering short questions, write their results of the mutual discussion and present it to the full audience by one of their team.
A plagiarism check is carried out for submissions in this course. If you have not yet agreed to the EULA of our partner "turnitin", you must do so as part of the first submission in order to participate in this course.
The written comments during the in-between activities as well as a joint final written test covering all 5 topics of the lecture at the last lecture unit comprise the final mark.
