Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to quote the relevant constituents of various renewables, to explain the  isolation process and the chemical conversion of the pure substances and to derive possible applications from basic properties of the compounds.

composition of wood, annual plants, natural fibers and algae; structure and properties of the main components, technical processes for production of renewable materials, technical processes for derivatisation and modification, properties and uses of products
