After successful completion of the course, students are able to describe, compare and apply the basic operations of mechanical process engineering i.e. particle characterization, floatation, spraying, flocculation, granulation, instantization and separation techniques.
Lecture includes: Identification of disperse systems II (porosimetry, surface determination of aggregates), grinding processes II, flotation, spraying, flocculation, granulation (especially in pharmacy), instantization, solid-liquid separation II.
Development of important equations of mechanical process engineering for the design of apparatuses; Presentation of the working principles of apparatuses of mechanical process engineering and their characteristic values by means of graphic representations; case studies discuss which equipment can be used problem-oriented; calculation of examples.
All lectures take place in attendance.

The exam dates are agreed individually with the lecturer!
The proof of performance takes place with an oral online examination (duration: approx. 60 min): 3 questions according to the current questionnaire (TISS, SS_2022) are asked. Calculation examples do not come.
Assessment criteria for the oral exam: understanding, outlines, technical terms, knowledge of formulas, thematic completeness.
The Zoom invitation to the oral online exam will be sent to the students in good time.
Two days before the online exam, there will be an online oral question time, during which the students can ask the lecturer questions about the teaching content.
The zoom invitation to the oral online question time will be sent to the students in good time.
Mechanical Process Engineering I, Process Engineering Laboratory Exercises, Process Engineering Exercises, basic knowledge of physicochemical laws, basic mathematical understanding and preparation of simple apparatus drawings.
