Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to apply athe path integral to quantum chromo dynamics, to formulate perturbation theory, to constitute and to give a detailed description of renormalisation and the fundamental phenomena of the strong ingeraction.

Subject of course

Non-perturbative phenomena and their treatment in lattice QCD
- Color confinement,
- chiral symmetry breaking

Perturbative treatment of QCD
- Feynman rules,
- regularisation and renormalisation.

Teaching methods

Lecture where based on the corresponding script the subjects are presented; intensive discussions between students and lecturer are welcomed

Mode of examination

Oral

Additional information
