After successful completion of the course, students are able to solve problems of atomic, nuclear and particle physics and to apply methods which are taught in the parallel lecture course 142.086 Atom-, Kern- und Teilchenphysik I.
One-electron atom: fine structure, hyperfine structure and isotopic shift, interaction with electromagnetic radiation; two-electron atoms; many-electron atoms; basic nuclear properties; nuclear models
