Aim of course

Properties of atoms, nuclei and elementary particles are presented on a quantum mechanical basis.

Subject of course

- building blocks of matter, elementary particles and their interactions - properties of atoms, nuclei and elementary particles - model of independent particles (incl. quantum numbers, periodic system and magic numbers) - emission and absorption of electromagnetic radiation - instabilities of nuclei and particles - application of atomic and nuclear physics (selection)
