Aim of course

Interdisciplinary extension of the offered lecture spectrum for physicists.

Subject of course

1) Elemenatry nuclear physics 2) Radiation biophysics (dose quantities, radiation protection bascis, radiation risks, relative biological efficiency, interaction radiation-matter, radiation chemistry of water, radiation effects on biomolecules and molecular structures) 3) Applications of isotopes in biology and medicine (Analytical applications: dilution analysis, radio-assay, radio-immuno-assay, immunradiometric-assay, activation analysis; tracer methods, isotopic effects, rado therapy)
