Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to become acquainted quickly with scientific topics, which eventually are completely new for them, since they have learnt for the first time to deal autonomously with a scientific issue. Thereby they become enabled to master their subsequent compulsory diploma thesis both efficiently and also successfully.

Subject of course

Parts of scientific research projects are treated in collaboration with diploma and doctaral thesis students. Applications of neutron scattering belong to the main topics.

Teaching methods

Although the students have to master their project thesis as autonomously as possible, at any time they are embedded in a team which is at their disposal to answer questions and to discuss Problems if necessary.

Mode of examination

Immanent
