After successful completion of the course, students are able to compute scatter cross sections and decay widths for gauge theories, have basic knowledge of the Standard model of particle physics including the electroweak and quantum chromodynmics. They will also have an introduction to the shortcomings of the Standard Model of particle physics and possible avenues for beyond the Standard Model theory landscapes.
The presentation is at the blackboard. In the accompanying exercises appropriate examples are calculated by the students.
Oral exam
Not necessary
Attendance to Course Models of Elementary Particle Physics I is strongly encouraged.
