Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to:

  • to guide a group throug the Atoministitut and explain main features of a research reactor
  • to explain experiments in detail
  • to give safety rules and security guidlines
  • to examplify applications of ionising radiation
  • to be able to give a talk withoute notes

Subject of course

At the beginning of the seminar students will get a didactic and organisational introduction to guides tours at the Atominstitut. Following a block of presentation techniques and 3 guided tours the informative part of the seminar is passed. The practical exercise consists of 7 guided tours by the students, where the research reactor has to be implemented in one of 2 to 3 emphasis.

By means of one owns research field main topics should be explained.
