Aim of course

Introduction to mathematical/physical/technical principles of computerassisted imaging concepts (computed tomography), from the historical beginning to most recent technologies including spectral CT, ultra wide beam and cardiac scanning. Understanding how images are produced and how imaging parameters are set and used, enabling students to correctly understand these for their own image processing tasks usinf CT scans. Simple examples and the very basic principles of image sampling and reconstruction are shown with Matlab. For more information please see the TUWEL course! There you can download the presentations, Matlab examples and other resources.
