Based on practical exercises the students will acquire and improve the skills to communicate scientific information to other scientists or interested members of the public in an efficient way.

Over the course of the seminar all participants will give short presentations on topics of their choice (typically but not necessarily about topics they have treated themselves during work projects, in a bachelor thesis etc.). The other participants and the seminar lecturer will then discuss the positive and negative aspects of the presentation so that everybody will learn both from their own mistakes and from the mistakes of others. This seminar is by no means a lecture on pedagogics but offers a chance to acquire first-hand practical experience in the communication of scientific knowledge.
Presentations and discussions can be held in either German or English.
