Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to undertand the following topics, and know about phyisical background, health effects including long-term effects:

  • optical radiation (IR, VIS, UV)
  • laser
  • high frequency and microwave radiation
  • mobile telephony (including 5G)
  • static and low frequency EM fields

In addition, popular discussed topics like "Wasseradern, Störzonen etc" will be critically discussed.

 

Subject of course

Discussion of biological effects and dose limits of: optical radiation, uv, laser, high frequency and low frequency electromagnetic fields, static electric and magnetic fields
