After successful completion of the course, students are able to explain necessary requirements for superconductors with high transition temperature, to describe the relation between flux pinning and critical currents, to list the most important high temperature superconductive materials as well as to explicate their properties, fabrications and applications. They know about the problematic of using supercoductors at high operation temperatures and are able to participate in the discours of the actual reasearch in this field.

Presentation of relevant knowledge. Discussion among the students, repeating under consideration of the students' feedback. Establishing a connection to recent and ongoing scientific work.

The students have to show their knowledge about the basic phenomena, key experiments as well as current explanations during an oral examination.

Depending on the actual situation, the exam may be hold by video meeting.

Basic knowledge about solid state physics and electrodynamics are required. The previous attendance of the lecture "Supraleitung" is recommended but not required.
