After successful completion of the course, students are able to...
Project work in the field of dosimetry and radiation protection with a focus on radioecology, radioactivity and radon. Application of methods of radiation measurement technology, activity and radon measurement technology such as nuclear track detectors, ionisation chambers, electronic detectors, low-level alpha spectrometry, low-level gamma spectrometry.
Solution of current problems of radiation protection, among others, in the areas of environmental radioactivity, radon, population protection, natural radioactivity, radioecology, personal dosimetry and environmental dosimetry, dosimetry in mixed radiation fields.
After an introduction to the problem area, the student independently applies his or her learned skills to smaller problems of current research tasks, evaluates current scientific literature and/or carries out measurements and/or calculations (e.g. simulations), evaluates the results in summary and interprets them in conclusion. Finally, the work carried out is summarised in a protocol.
