Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to work on straightforward scientific tasks and do the appropriate documentation. For these cases, they can do independent scientific work and are able to understand the results in term of the theoretical framework.

Subject of course

Experimental work in superconductivity, low temperature physics, data evaluation, programming etc.

Teaching methods

Students, under supervision,  do selected task in projects our department is currently working on. They are explicitly asked (and enabled) to do a correct and scientific documentation of their project work.

Mode of examination

Immanent

Additional information

The project work is defined after an informal coordination talk between professor, project coordinators and the student.

Examination modalities

The first part of the evaluation is based on the correct and dedicated actual work, which should be done reasonably autonomous. The second part consists of the assessment of the protocol. This shall be technically sound and in the correct form.
