After successful completion of the course, students are able to categorise different interferometers, to describe their installation, to define topological and geometrical phases as well as to explain the Kochen-Specker paradox.
<This lecture is planned to be given as "Block" in December. Send an e-mail to yuji.hasegawa[AT]tuwien.ac.at to take the lecture and get moer information. >
Introduction to x-ray/neutron perfect-crystal interferometer, Larmor interferometer (polarimeter), Topological phase, Aharanov-Bohm/Casher effect, Geometric phase, Bell's inequality, Kochen-Specker paradox
Lecture with digital presentations to visualise physical laws and the installation of equipment. The lecture‘s script should help to repeat and deepen the matter.
Course is held blocked; email to yuji.hasegawa@tuwien.ac.at
Examination modalities consist either of an oral examination, a presentation on one of the lecture‘s subjects or of providing written answers of specifically developed audit questions.
