After successful completion of the course, students are able to take part in the scientific process. They know the basic principles of scientific publication and presentations. They will be able to do valid scientific work without supervision. Speciel emphasis is given to acquire data appropriately and analyse and interpret them correctly.
Experimental work on high temperature superconductors, programming, numerical calculations etc.
Students do selected tasks under supervision in projects our department is currently working on. They are explicitly asked (andenabled) to do a correct and scientific documentation of their project work.
The project work is defined after an informal coordination talk between professor, project coordinators and the student.
The first part of the evaluation is based on the correct and dedicated actual work, which should be done reasonably autonomous. The second part consists of the assessment of the protocol. This shall be technically sound and in formally correct.
