After successful completion of the course, students are able to comprehend the materials presented in the lecture and to draw conclusions from them, as well as to actively communicate the contents presented during the lecture.
Overview of scientific programs and projects of the faculty of physics and its staff members. The course provides a first orientation with respect to the suggested specialization in the further personal curriculum (project works, specialiced lectures, diploma work) and facilitates contacts with members of the institutes.
Each institute introduces its coworkers and areas of research during one or two afternoons; experimentally oriented institutes offer also guided tours through their laboratories.
