Aim of course

By simple exercises the students shall gain insight into the handling of widlely used vacuum deposition systems and techniques.

This exercise is scheduled for three conscutive days. It is usually held during the last third of the term. The exact date of the exercise will be communicated to the abonnents of this exercise via the News tool.

Subject of course

Various coatings are deposited by evaporation and sputtering. The films are characterized in respect to their optical, mechanical and structural properties.
