Physics lecture intending i) to explain basic occurrences in electricity (static and dynamic phenomena), ii) to discuss general aspects of waves (in vacuo and matter) and their application to optics (geometrical and wave optics) and accoustics. An understanding is aspired on the basis of the Maxwell equations and on damped, driven harmonic oscillators. The lecture closely follows the texbook of W. Demtröder, "Experimentalphysik 2, Electricity and Optics", 4th edition; Springer, Berlin, Heidelberg, New York.
Textbook: Demtröder: Experimentalphysik II (Springer, 6. Auflage)
Lecture notes for this course are available right at the beginning of the lectures.
