After successful completion of the course, students are able to classify and summarise the newest results in solid state physics, to discuss different aspects of presentations on a scientific level as well as to apply the knowledge on their own continuative works such as reports and theses.

Each student holds a presentation which then is discussed in class.
Grading is based on the presentation and participation in the discussions.
