After successful completion of the course, students are able to explain fundamental aspects of the standard model of cosmology and to assess consequences of physics in and beyond the standard model of particle physics
Standard model of cosmology: Friedmann-Robertson-Walker metric, dynamics, thermal history of the universe, nucleosynthesis, dark matter, dark energy, inflationary universe, structure formation
Application of general relativity and models of particle physics
The course will take place every Thursday 10:00.
The first session will be on the 02. March 2023. It will be a brief introduction and presentation of the lecture content and administrative aspects, allowing students to decide if they want to follow the course.
Please simply join the first session (and the next ones) via this Zoom link, also given on TUWEL.
If you are interested in attending the course, please register here on TISS, before the 1st lecture on the 02.03. Your information shall be imported on TUWEL.
Homeworks, Exam at the end of the lecture
Please register for the course on TISS. Your information shall then be imported to TUWEL.
The course will be mostly self-contained. However, for some parts of the course basic knowledge of general relativity, quantum field theory and thermodynamics will be helpful but is not necessary.
