After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand the contents of the lecture and to use the methods of the lecture to solve problems and develop new strategies in the corresponding field.
The content of this guest lecture held by Guest-Prof. Ilona Kretzschmar will revolve around the topic of Janus and Patchy Particles as Active Colloids.
The lecture will take place as a blackboard class with much room for discussion.
Students will give a short oral presentation on a topic of their choice based on a scientific paper that they have read toward the end of the term that applies the fundamental knowledge they have gained during the term.

A master-level knowledge of electrodynamics and quantum theory is required.
