Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand and apply mathematical concepts, which are of utmost importance in the theory of elementary particles, while exceeding the scope of the basic lectures on mathematical mehtods in physics.

Subject of course

Symmetries and groups. General properties of Lie groups. Differentiable manifolds. Lie groups and Lie algebras. Structure Theory. Classification of simple Lie algebras

Talk with numerous examples und graphical representation of the teaching material, giving th students the opportunity to ask question at any time, supported by a compelling script
