Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to formulate and solve  problems in different science areas using symbolic programming languages (main emphasis on Mathematica). In particular, the study of the solution for various  input parametrs and its graphiocal representation should become standard.

Subject of course

Introduction into the programming language Mathematica. Solving of problems in physics, taking into account the specific possibilities offered by MATHEMATICA (f.ex. graphic representation of results). Solving problems analythically as wells numerically.

Teaching methods

Use of different aspects for the solution via symbolic programming languages directly on the computer in typically groups of 2.
