After successful completion of the course, students are able to comprehend the subjects presented in the lecture and to draw conclusions from them as well as to actively communicate the contents presented during the lecture.

• Acoustics in solids and fluids. One-dimensional and scalar description of sound fields.
• Basic psychoacoustics: Sound and hearing, basics of psychoacoustic, noise reduction
• Technical acoustics: Acoustic measuring techniques, room acoustics, electroacoustic transducers and their equivalent electrical circuits
• Musical acoustics.

Presentation of terms, text and mathematical descriptions as well as of imbedded pictures and video-clips. Sample calculations.

At the end of the lecture the participants should be able to demonstrate that they have understood the content of the lessons and being able to deliver quantitative results by simple calculations.
