After successful completion of the course, students are able to comprehend the sujects presented in the lecture and to draw conclusions from them as well as to actively communicate the contents presented during the lecture.

The VU essentially contains two partsi.e. the basic lecture and questions to be answered and elaborated by by the students infront of the lectureres and the fellow students.
The relevant questions are published at the end of each main chapter.Simpler questions may be grouped more complex and elaborate question may give a task in themselves. Those students who want to get points for the practical part should elaborate answers to these tasks and send them to the respective lecturer at least 24h befor his next lecture. (This will be possible either in specially published forums or at the internet-adress of the relevant lecturer. Details will be established with the students during the first lecture).
We offer the possibility to use ultrasound material testing instruments in the physics Lab during in groups of 4 to 6 students and will try to organise a visit to a hospital, so that you can see Ultrasoud application in the healthcare system an possibly try yourself. Participation in these activities are not compulsary.
The toal evauation of the VU-Unit contains the points for the written exam and points that can be gained by preenting answers to the the set of questions presented in the methods used. Details for the point to be gained will be given during the first lecture.
There will be a maximum of 66 points given for the test and maximum of 20 points for the presentations.
Bachelor or equivalent preeducation required. A personal laptop is strongly recommended, because it allows the use of electronic document copies of the provided lecture material and to perform simulations and calculations.
