Permanent magnets Calculation of magnetic circuits, Characteristic parameters, Composition and microstructure, Rare earth permanent magnets, Powdermetallurgical preparation, Applications 4. Magnetic recording Magnetic tapes and disks, Composition and microstructure, Longitudinal and perpendicular recording, Magneto-optical recording, Bubble domains, Future aspects 5. Ferrimagnetic materials Spinel ferrites, Hexagonal ferrites, Orthoferrites, Rare earth garnets 6. Softmagnetic materials Edddy currents, Magnetization reversal losses, Composition and microstructure, Applications 7. Magnetoelasticity
