After successful completion of the course, students are able to are in postion to reproduce the contnts as outlined in detail in the english version of "Lehrinhalte" in written as well as oral form. Moreover the students will be able to apply the basic concepts of Statistische Physik II to simple examples.
The lecture is held in close cooperation with the Statistische Physik II Übung.
The students are invited to attend the combined lecture-exercise classes.
However, both courses can also be taken independent of each other.

2 alternative exam options:
a) "VO-Modus": one written and oral exam at the end of the semester on the content of the lecture. (Replacement test in October and additonal oral exams until two years after the end of the course).
b) "VU-Modus": Joint grading with the exercise course "UE 136.050 Statistical Physics II": written exam at the end of the semester including exam on the interactive tutor-based exercise classes (every week either lecture or exersice classes); (replacement test in October, no further oral exams).
