After successful completion of the course, students are able to are in postion to reproduce the contnts as outlined in detail in the english version of "Lehrinhalte" in written as well as oral form. Moreover the students will be able to apply the basic concepts of Analytische Mechanik für TPH to simple examples.
Basic concepts of analytical mechanics with emphasis on the connection to quantum mechanics. Elements of analytical mechanics include: variational principles, conservation laws and symmetries, concept of phase space, the Euler-Lagrange equations, Hamilton's equations of motion, Hamilton-Jacobi equations, and classical perturbation theory.
