After successful completion of the course, students are able to comprehend the materials presented in the lecture and to draw conclusions from them, as well as to actively communicate the contents presented during the lecture.
Electromagnetic waves in matter; geometrical optics; interference and diffraction; optical instruments
Lectures with discussions. In addition, the experiments will support theoretical concepts. Once a week there are practical exercises ("Übungen") in groups under the supervision of tutors and stuff. English speaking groups will be offered.
If you are attending the GdPh IIa course, you do not need to subscribe to the GdPh IIb course. Your subscription will be continued automatically. In case you do not want to continue with the GdPh IIb course, please send an eMail to riegler@iap.tuwien.ac.at no later than 04.05.2023.
