After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand the principles of electricity and magnetism, to elucidate the laws of electrodynamics as well the correlation between electricity and magnetism. Students learn to independently work on problems related to the lecture.
Basic course in classic electrodynamics (electricity, magnetism)
Lecture with digital presentation and demonstration of experiments to visualize physical laws, accompanied exercises during which physical problems related to the lecture are solved.
Further information will be published in due course in TUWEL and/or the documents accompanying the course
50% of the grade result from the exercises (weekly tests, presentations, and solved problems)
50% result from the lecture exam
Both parts have to be passed independently. Signing up for the lecture exam is only possible after passing the exam part.
Use Group Registration to register.
The course is based on the book:Demtröder, W.: Experimentalphysik 2, "Elektrizität und Optik", Springer-Verlag, 7. Auflage, 2017Having an earlier edition of the book is not a substantial disadvantage as various editions differ only slightly.
