After successful completion of the course, students are able to summarize the main physical principles of stationary solids and liquids, to explicate fundamentals of the gas theory, to describe physically flowing liquids and gases as well as to formulate the basic thermodynamic laws and to be able to apply them to some physical systems. In the tutorial, the students learn to work independently on the problems and to present their results in front of small groups.
Demtröder: Experimentalphysik I chapter 6 -10
Lecture with embedded experiments to demonstrate the physical laws and accompanied exercises during which physical problems related to the lecture are solved and presented by the students. Single- as well as group tests at the end of every tutorial.
Contnuous assesment through tests in the practical training part (50%) and a 1.5h written examination of the lecture part (50%)
Registration in groups like for Grundlagen für Physik 1a
